Upper Floor Carry-Up Policy

📘 Upper Floor Carry-Up Policy (No Lift Access)

At MTT, we are committed to delivering a complete and reliable service experience, including the ability to carry large appliances to upper floors in residential buildings without lift access. To ensure safety and a smooth delivery process, please review the following carry-up service terms:

Service Terms

  • Use of Handling Equipment: Our delivery team may use trolleys and other equipment as needed to ensure safe and efficient transportation of the appliance and to minimise the risk of damage to your property or the item.
  • Customer's Responsibility for Protection: Before the carry-up process, customers are encouraged to prepare protective measures along staircases, flooring, and wall corners. Recommended materials include anti-scratch floor mats, wall guards, and corner protectors.
  • Staircase Access and Safety Requirements: The staircase must be wide, clear, and free of obstruction, with adequate structural integrity and safety conditions. If the environment does not meet basic safety standards, MTT reserves the right to decline the carry-up service and will assist the customer in exploring alternative options.
  • Service Availability Depends on Brand Agreement: If the brand you purchased from does not include the carry-up service in its agreement with MTT, the system will prompt you during appointment booking to pay an additional service fee. If the payment is not made, the carry-up service will not be scheduled. If the customer proceeds with a private arrangement with the driver on-site, it is deemed that the customer agrees to take full responsibility for the outcome.

Customer Acknowledgement and Agreement

  • By selecting this carry-up service and confirming your appointment, you acknowledge and accept the following:
  • The delivery team may use trolleys or necessary tools during handling;
  • You are responsible for preparing protection to reduce the risk of property damage;
  • In the absence of protection, you agree to accept any resulting scratches or marks at your own discretion;
  • If the service is not included under the brand’s agreement, additional payment must be made during the appointment booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kind of protection should I prepare?
A: We recommend anti-slip mats, cardboard sheets, foam padding, or corner guards to prevent scratches or dents during the move. You may also check with your building management for approved materials.

Q: Will MTT provide protection materials?
A: To maintain efficiency and neutrality, MTT does not supply protective materials. Customers are advised to prepare and install such protection in advance.

Q: What if my staircase is too narrow or steep?
A: Our delivery team will assess the access path upon arrival. If it is deemed unsuitable for safe handling, we will discuss whether to reschedule, deliver to ground level only, or explore other alternatives with you.
